5 Principles Of A Successful Man

It's clear that, if you're reading this article, you want to be successful. Maybe you already are but want to see if you live by these same principles. Whoever you may be, wherever you are on your journey to wealth, health, love and freedom, these 5 principles are all traits you need to become and remain successful.

These 5 principles include discipline, humility, presence, gratitude and a secret 5th principle. This final principle will remain secret until the end as it won't be relevant to many of you unless you have already mastered the other 4. These 5 principles will accelerate your journey to the top so let's stop wasting time and get to the details.

Discipline

This first principle is one of the most important traits you could ever develop. Discipline is your ability to get what needs to be done completed whether you feel like it or not. This is why it is such an essential principle to instil in yourself. If you can't be bothered to get up and work on your body, your mind, your business, your relationships every single day, why should your nutritionist, your mentor, your employees or your wife work for what they have with you?

The importance of discipline as a principle is the way it removes external influence to sustain your life. Believe me, I understand that nobody wants to work when they feel like shit but discipline guarantees you results no matter how you feel. Consider your competition in this world. What are other men doing? Dodging their responsibilities when they feel shit! So all you have to do to get ahead of all these other men is not skip days when you don't feel like being the better man. All you have to do to be in the top 10% of men is work everyday no matter how you feel. The first step and you already know how to join the top 10% of men! Pretty good right?

Humility

Humility is an amazing trait for a person to develop. Some people I've met hate this word as they feel it's too close to humiliation but i promise the two words are unrelated. Humility is, in essence, knowing what you don't know. Being knowledgable of gaps in your knowledge. The dictionary definition is to be humble. You should be humble! Accept praise when it's given to you but be quick to point out what you do not know. This knowledge will keep you in a student mindset so you stay learning and developing.

The real importance of humility will only become clear once you've been practicing it for a while. After you've been consistently humble, you will find that behaving in this manner has made you more aware of your flaws and that this has led you to make more progress in improving these weak points. So, come on. Be humble. That way when you end up showing off you know you've truly made it!

Presence

This third principle is life changing. Not in the same way as discipline or humility can be. In my eyes this is the principle with the craziest transformation to your life. By learning to be present you will drastically improve your happiness, anxiety, productivity, gratitude and so much more. Presence is the key to human existence yet we have lost it to escapism through bad habits. So how can you become present?

MEDITATION AND JOURNALLING.

I'm aware that innumerable people will think this is bullshit. Just wishy washy hippy crap. I disagree. To become present you need to learn to separate yourself from clouding emotions, thoughts and judgement. There is no better way to achieve this than emptying your thoughts into a journal and following that up with meditation to just sit in a state of existence. If you don't believe me then you can continue living without these but once you're good at them you'd hate yourself for not starting sooner. I hope you make the right choice.

Gratitude

Gratitude is important for anybody who wants to have a clear head. This world consists of capitalism and consumers so it's nice to remove yourself from the constant wants of the modern world to have a moment of clarity. Gratitude is simply taking a moment to be grateful for your current situation. What could have gone wrong but didn't? Who are you grateful for in life? What minuscule details make you the most grateful?

To some people this may seem pointless but, i assure you, if you aren't grateful for where you are now you will never be able to live better or keep it to that standard. So please, please, please be grateful for what you have. You can always have better and you can always have worse so be grateful.

Becoming The Teacher

This is the secret fifth principle. Becoming the teacher. Sharing what you know! For when you give, it will be you who shall receive. This is the biggest secret of the successful men on this planet. Sharing knowledge and contacts will give you new knowledge and a bigger network. Sharing compassion will give you compassion and care when you need it. Unsuccessful people always struggle to share due to lack of time, money, happiness, health or any of the other multitude of things possible, but when you are successful, when you are grateful, present, humble and disciplined, you can share your wisdom and you will receive even more rewards in exchange.

Now, please remember this is the last step. You must do the other 4 first as this final part is the accumulation of your journey and experience. The complete package that you can share with the world to aid them as they aid you. So go forth and become the better man!
